At WLG Handicrafts, we handcraft every product with utmost care and dedication and we treat your personal data with the same care. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.

What we collect

Only what's needed to fulfil your order:

  • Contact & order details — name, shipping/billing address, email, and phone number.
  • Payment information — handled securely by our payment partners (Razorpay/Shopify Payments). We never see or store your full card details.
  • Usage data — basic browser and device information via cookies, so the site works smoothly for you.

How we use it

Solely to process and ship your orders, provide customer support, and (if you opt in) send you updates about new collections and offers. We never sell your data to anyone, ever.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with partners who help us run the store — Shopify (our platform), payment gateways, and shipping/courier services — and only as much as each needs to do their job. All are bound by their own data-protection obligations.

Data retention

We keep your order information for as long as needed to provide our services and as required by applicable Indian tax and accounting law. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below); we'll action it within a reasonable period unless we're legally required to retain it.

Cross-border processing

Because WLG Handicrafts is powered by Shopify, some of your data may be stored or processed on servers outside India. We rely on Shopify's infrastructure and safeguards for this.

Your rights (under the DPDP Act, 2023)

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate information
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
